Earlier this year, the Southern Vales cluster schools celebrated the staging of this year's WYD with an outdoor Mass attended by more than 2000 students and adults at Cardijn College oval. Fr Charles Gauci recalled the importance of celebrating WYD as one Catholic family and the 14 pilgrims were commissioned during the Mass to go to Madrid with excitement but return 'firm in the faith' -- the theme of this year's WYD. LEFT: GETTING TOGETHER: Reception students at Nazareth Catholic College hosted their "big" friends from the secondary campus as part of the Peer Support program. The children sang along with their Year 12 buddies and shared a healthy recess of fresh fruit, followed by a disco. Ms Grace Rillo, Nazareth Year 12 Coordinator, said the activities were a "positive and enjoyable way to demonstrate that we are a community of friendship, well being and belonging, where relationships are nurtured with love and respect".
